On my run tonight: Australia day fire works over the ocean on one side and a big storm rolling in with lightning on the other… The weathers so tropical at the moment!! Crazy.
Damn Perth’s heat wave! And we have the next week of around 40 to look forward to… I think I’ll definitely be getting up in the mornings from now.

Slept in this morning, so kicking my butt out the door to get my run in before dinner!
Lets go!!
(I wrote this on the first day of 2012 year, while on holiday with the intention of posting when I got home- so here it is!)
I am so proud and happy of how far I’ve come. In 6 months I’ve not only faced my weight problem but made positive lifestyle changes to alter it. And alter it I did! I have made exercise a habit, added resistance training to my workouts and cleaned up my diet. I’ve lost 8kgs & gained back some self confidence and ‘body love’.
Now its 2012, and the start of every year calls for reflection and goal setting, so while I can look positively at how far I’ve come, I can also look forward to where I want to get to!
I’m going to kick 2012 in the butt! I’m dropping out of a uni course that I don;t think is for me and taking a year off to get my priorities in order! I will pay off my debt, learnt a bit of French (enough to get me by on a trip home to see my b-f family), and be halfway through my graphic design diploma & well on the way to fixing my teeth up with braces.
I will be busy, but organized! I will take care of my body and mind. I will get enough sleep and rise early to make the most of my days. I will make the time for my bf that he deserves.
As well as all this, I’m going to reach my UGW of 57kgs. And once under, I will never go above 60kgs again.
How?
I’m going to join my local gym. Workout 6 days a week, cardio and weights… I will push myself and work hard. I will tone up my thighs and butt, and finally get a toned flat stomach. Goodbye tuck shop lady arm flabs… I will be able to do proper ‘man’ push-ups and chin ups.
I am going to train for, and complete a half marathon in August, running 24kms non stop for the first time in my life! I hope to do this in under 2.5hrs
I will also eat clean clean clean! My attitude to alcohol will change, and I will create healthy habits surrounding its consumption and eating/drinking in social situations.
I will conquer my addiction to french fries and potato chips! I will banish the binges, by allowing myself small treats and not letting myself feel ‘deprived’. I will nourish my body with good food, and cut out the excess sugar and salt.
I will read more, laugh more, travel more and take a year to get back in touch with me and where I want to go in life!
